Kinder B
Kinder Hibbs have been exploring identity through art, creating beautiful self-portraits that showcase their unique features, personalities, and growing sense of self. This learning experience connects to the Early Years Learning Framework Outcome 1: Identity, which supports children in developing a strong sense of self, belonging, and confidence. By engaging in this creative process, students are:
? Recognizing and valuing their unique characteristics
? Observing similarities and differences between themselves and others
? Using language to describe who they are and what makes them special
? Building a sense of belonging within the classroom community

3/4C
This term in 3/4C we have explored the meaning of Harmony Day, discussing ways we can contribute to making Australia a peaceful and happy place. Some of our ideas included being kind to others, including everyone in games, and helping people in need.
During our work on our Science Inquiry, we have been investigating different types of materials and their uses. In teams, we put our problem-solving skills to the test by designing and building the 4th Little Pig’s house—all in just 20 minutes! After testing our creations against the wind, we discovered that wooded paddle pop sticks closely bound together was the strongest and best at surviving the challenge.
It’s been a fantastic term so far of learning and teamwork in 3/4C!

Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
We all wore a splash of orange to show our support on Harmony Day (March 21st).
What a wonderful display our school produced together!

On Monday we held our annual Brixhibition Lego Building competition. We had 38 entries from kindergarten to grade 6 and the standard was extremely high!
Thank you to Mr Adam Smith, who donated prizes for the winners and also helped to judge the competition. We had a large number of students come and view all the amazing builds, both before school and at lunch time. It was great to see such excitement from the students looking at the builds, and discussion around what made them fantastic!
The winners were:
Grade 3/4 and Overall Winner: William C
Grade 5/6 Winner: Laketa M
Grade 1/2 Winner: Campbell P
Kindergarten/Prep Winner: Vernon C
A reminder that all entries should be collected by now, but if you haven’t, please contact the office.

Last Monday, we held our Grade 3-6 Athletics Carnival at St Leonards Athletic Centre. The weather was great and the encouragement and atmosphere was excellent.
Well done to all students that participated. Thanks to family and friends for their support and particularly the parent help that allowed the carnival to run smoothly.
Congratulations to Waratah on winning for 2025!
Congratulations to the NPS students that participated in today's LSSSA Athletic Carnival. We finished in 3rd position in Division A, which allows us to stay in the same Division next year!! Well done to everyone that participated.

Thank you to our parents and staff who have volunteered their time to take on coaching roles and support our teams. Out of school events like this would not be possible without your help and is truly appreciated!
