From the Classrooms
Kinder B
Kinder Hibbs have been exploring identity through art, creating beautiful self-portraits that showcase their unique features, personalities, and growing sense of self. This learning experience connects to the Early Years Learning Framework Outcome 1: Identity, which supports children in developing a strong sense of self, belonging, and confidence. By engaging in this creative process, students are:
? Recognizing and valuing their unique characteristics
? Observing similarities and differences between themselves and others
? Using language to describe who they are and what makes them special
? Building a sense of belonging within the classroom community

3/4C
This term in 3/4C we have explored the meaning of Harmony Day, discussing ways we can contribute to making Australia a peaceful and happy place. Some of our ideas included being kind to others, including everyone in games, and helping people in need.
During our work on our Science Inquiry, we have been investigating different types of materials and their uses. In teams, we put our problem-solving skills to the test by designing and building the 4th Little Pig’s house—all in just 20 minutes! After testing our creations against the wind, we discovered that wooded paddle pop sticks closely bound together was the strongest and best at surviving the challenge.
It’s been a fantastic term so far of learning and teamwork in 3/4C!
