Electrical Safety Week
Dear NPS Families
Wow, what a wonderful Book Week we had! Thank you to our families for supporting this event focusing on the importance of books in our lives. A big thank you also to Mrs Scolyer and our team of Literacy Leaders for their high-level organisation of all activities taking place across the week.
One could say that the NPS Staff enjoyed themselves every bit as much as the students.
Some of our students busy participating in "Write a Book in a Day"!
The importance of quality literature in children's lives should not be underestimated. The clip below demonstrates this from a child's perspective.

Flexible Programs
We run a range of flexible programs to cater for the diverse needs of our students. Many of these are designed and implemented by staff, however, we also access some through external agencies who come into schools free of charge to work with groups of students. Two of these programs that are currently being run by Catholic Care are Rhythm 2 Recovery and Season for Growth. We are extremely grateful for this support.
We are hoping that this skilled drumming group with give us a performance later in the term.
Looking forward to our ECE Tabloid Sports next Monday.
Kind regards,
Karen Monaghan| Principal

Please ensure your child/ren are suitably prepared for the pool with their bathers, towel, goggles (can be worn at certain stages in the program), warm school clothes as well as an extra plastic bag for wet clothes. Swimming caps are provided by the school for all students.
The SWSP is a crucial part of HPE curriculum and an excellent opportunity for all students to improve their swimming skills, boat safety knowledge as well as overall confidence in aquatic environments. The program is beneficial for all students, no matter their previous experience in the pool.
The Annual Consent Form for Aquatic (water-based) Activities was completed at the start of 2024. If you would like to update any details on this form please let the Office know.
Every day at the pool with our Swimming teachers makes a difference!
Grade 3-4 B are permitted to wear their bathers under their school uniform. All other classes must come to school in normal school uniform and will get changed at the pool.
PLEASE NOTE: 3-4 A and 5's from 5-6 D and 5-6 E will be unable to order lunch from the school canteen.
Any questions about the SWSP should be directed to the school office.

If your child requires ‘over the counter’ medication at school you must sign a parent permission form.
If your child requires prescribed medication (eg. antibiotics) you must have an ‘Administration of Prescribed Medication Authorisation’ completed by a doctor, pharmacist or practice nurse. These forms are available at the school office or from the Department for Education, Children and Young People website.
All medication must be handed into the school office in the original packaging. Students can only have their asthma medication in their bags.
If your child has Asthma and requires Asthma medication (eg. Ventolin) at school we will need an Asthma Action Plan signed by a doctor and parent as well as an ‘Administration of Prescribed Medication Authorisation’ completed by a doctor, pharmacist or practice nurse. These must be updated annually.
Please ask at the School Office if you have any questions.
Have you lost a school jumper?
Please check with the school office, we have several unnamed or hard to read named jumpers that might belong to you!
