End Of Term Letter
It's so hard to believe that it's the half way through 2023 already.
Although it's not our regular newsletter week, I wanted to write a short end of term note to say thank you once again for all the support from our families and wider school community. I feel very privledged to work in a position where that support from the community is so high.
Today we say farewell to three of our current staff....
Miss Terri Gibbons has been farewelled by both her students, and school staff today. Terri will take up a postion at West Launceston PS to continue her career as a class teacher within the Department of Education, Children and Young People. We have greatly valued Terri's dedication to all our students, and especially those of which she has been their class teacher.
Mr Michael Trotman will join us as 3-4A class teacher at the beginning of term 3.
Mr Cam Illingworth has worked as a Teacher Assistant in a range of roles. Cam is in his last year of his Education Degree, and has taken up a contract at Sacred Heart as a year 6 teacher for the remainder of the year.
Today, Mrs Helen Birch has announced her retirement after almost 30 years of service at Norwood PS. Will will have more to come in regards to Helen's retirement and her work at Norwood PS early next term.
Congratulations to Maggie Bent and Harriet McLennan who are our Aussie's of the Month for June. Photos to come next term due to free dress day today. Also to all our Awards recipients who were presented with certificates yesterday. Check out our Facebook page for photos.
