Norwood Traffic Update
We have had some good news from the Launceston City Council in response to our request for support with changes to the traffic and parking around the school.
A representative from the Council has visited and they have agreed to extend the drop off zone at the front of the school, this zone will be strictly no parking during pick up and drop off times and we hope that it will improve the flow of traffic around the school, it is expected this will be implemented within the next 6 weeks. More information on how the Drop Off Zone will operate to be provided in our next newsletter. The Council with support from State Growth have also agreed to extend the 40 kmh School Zone past the Opossum Road/Boiton Hill Road roundabout on all three approaches. As new signage needs to be installed we do not have a timeframe as yet.
A reminder to all of our families to use the School Crossing when crossing the road to and from school, and to drive at 40kmh to keep our children safe.
