Primary School Teachers Instructional Load

Term 3 has seen change for primary school teachers. The contact hours for teachers has been reduced slightly, and it supports planning, preparation and assessment times. It is also directly linked to the government’s commitment for an additional allocation of music and physical education teachers. For NPS children this has meant that they have either two PE lessons and one Music lesson each week, or one PE lesson and two Music lessons. We anticipate that this will be reversed in fourth term.
