From the Principal
Dear NPS Families
It is hard to believe that there are only two weeks left in Term 3! It has been a busy and productive Term so far with lots of engaging learning happening across the school. Thank you to all our families that visited our Open Classrooms last week. It was wonderful to see the celebrations of learning and the engagement with the range of activities set up across the classrooms. If you were unable to attend these sessions, Evidence of Learning will be sent home at the end of this week. Thank you to our teachers and students for the preparation that went into ensuring the Open Classrooms were such a success.
At our last assembly, I took some time to reflect with students on the many and varied amazing opportunities that we engage in at Norwood Primary in addition to our classroom learning. These include Science Week, Book Week, visits from the Tasmanian of the Year and Local Hero of the Year to work with our Student Parliament, Singfest, excursions to the Beaconsfield Mine, Museum, Franklin House and Hagley, F1 in Schools, Cricket Tasmania workshops and much more. It has been wonderful to see the way that our students have engaged in these opportunities with such enthusiasm, and the respectful way in which they contribute to the events. Our students should be very proud.
Kind regards,
Jess Bennett | Assistant Principal
