2025 F1 In Schools
Excitedly, this year Norwood is again participating in the STEM Racing Australia F1 In Schools Competition. This involves the students working in teams of 3 to design, test and time trial mini formula 1 cars. The teams must work closely together to create the fastest possible car they can within a very strict set of rules.
This is our 6th year participating and we have several former students now participating in the High School Competition, with some even going to the National Championships. Last year we finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the State finals.
The competition will again be held in Launceston at the Tailrace Centre on the 26th November. Excitedly we have 10 teams participating, with 5 designing and making 3D printed cars and 5 designing and making balsa wood cars.
We are again seeking sponsorships for our cars to support our participation. The sponsorship cost is $300 dollars, and we will put your company’s logo on the car, and you will also get to keep a version of the car.
