From the Principal
Dear Families
It has been so lovely to see signs of spring heading our way. Some recent sunny days have certainly been very welcoming!
Warmer weather, and hopefully lots of sunshine will of course mean that hats will be re-introduced from September 1st as part of our Sun Protection Policy. Hats must be a Norwood PS bucket hat.
What a delight it has been today to see so much excitement for our Matilda's team. Lots of green and gold, excitment and student organised soccer games during play-times.

Breakfast Program
Our breakfast program which was introduced early this year remains very popular. We are very grateful to our sponsors Woolworths Kings Meadows and Island Fresh who continue to support this. A reminder that the breakfast program is for students who are unable to access breakfast at home or may have had an early start to the day. Please have a chat to your child to remind them of this. We also ask that if you do not want your child to access this, that you let the school know.
Open Classrooms
A reminder that we will be hosting open classrooms on Thursday 31st August, 2:00-3:00pm & 3:30 - 4:30pm. This is a valuable opportunity for families to visit classrooms and have conversation with children about their learning. We hope that a family member for each student is able to join us, however, if you are unable then please remember that parents/carers are welcome at any time to make a time to talk with teachers about your child's learning.
Continued Outdoor Improvements
You may have noticed the 'works' happening where the garden beds were at the front area of the school. This has been achieved with a DECYP grant to extend our outdoor learning areas. We are hopeful for completion by the end of next week. Watch out for some photos of student use of this area once completed.

Kind regards, Karen
