From the Principal
Here we are quickly heading towards the middle of the year. The weather is certainly indicating that winter is well on its way!
I have noticed over the past week that a high number of our students are turning up to school in their summer uniforms. Whilst many will say that they are not cold, the human body will be affected and ultimately use more energy trying to stay warm. Yes, some of us feel the cold more than others, but being adequately clothed to protect our bodies from the cold is very important. Just a jumper is often adequate and can be removed easily for the classroom, sport etc.
I was wonderful to see the students participating so well in the cross-country last Friday, also to be able to have family members join in with the excitement on the day. The children certainly showed high levels of perseverance and resilience! A great deal of photos were taken on the day and we currently have a slide show presentation on the screen in the office foyer.
School Staring Time & Drop off
Our supervision for the beginning of the day commences at 8:30am which means that children should not be here unaccompanied by an adult before that time. Please be aware that we still have a range of COVID protocols in place which have been directed from Public Health. It is however great to see families being able to come to classrooms to drop off their children, we do ask though that you 'drop and go' quickly so that we don't end up with too many adults in the room at the same time.
Staff are available to assist you if you have a child who is struggling to separate.
Kind regards, Karen
