When children start a new school year we often have lots of questions for them about their day.
However, often it hard for the kids to tell you about their day, especially when we ask such general questions like ‘how was your day?”
Don’t rush them and give them some time to regulate after school. When they are ready it can help to ask open ended questions about different parts of their day, such as the examples below.
