Our annual Swimming and Water Safety Program (SWSP) starts next week and is being held at the Launceston Aquatic Centre this year.
Please ensure your child/ren are suitably prepared for the pool with their bathers, towel, goggles (can be worn at certain stages in the program), warm school clothes as well as an extra plastic bag for wet clothes. Swimming caps are provided by the school for all students.
The SWSP is a crucial part of HPE curriculum and an excellent opportunity for all students to improve their swimming skills, boat safety knowledge as well as overall confidence in aquatic environments. The program is beneficial for all students, no matter their previous experience in the pool.
Every day at the pool with our Swimming teachers makes a difference!
Grade 3-4 Maconachie and 3-4 Farran/Holt are permitted to wear their bathers under their school uniform. All other classes must come to school in normal school uniform and will get changed at the pool.
Please remember that if your child regularly uses the canteen on Thursdays and Fridays, they may be unable to due to being offsite.
