Processes for Covering Classes When Teachers Are Away

We are currently experiencing challenges in obtaining appropriate relief class teachers. On the occasions when we are unable to find appropriate class cover, we have a plan for children in the class to be relocated. Specifically, groups of 4-5 children are relocated to their ‘relocation class’ for the day. This group and their class remains constant throughout the year allowing for relationships with other students and teachers to develop. We re-allocate Early Childhood children across the ECE classrooms and the same for Primary children. Children are supported with re-allocation first thing in the morning by senior staff.
