All Schools State Cross Country
Yesterday was the All School (State) Cross Country event at Symmons Plains. 25 Grade 3-6 students were chosen to represent Norwood Primary at this carnival, as a result of their outstanding running in the school and LSSSA events.
With a lot of nervous energy and enthusiasm towards the day, it was obvious how motivated our students were to do their best. With over 200 participants in each race and thousands of students, teachers, parents and officials at the event, the atmosphere was excellent.
Throughout the carnival, the cheer of ‘Go Norwood’ was heard around Symmons Plains and plenty of encouragement for fellow Norwood students was given. With so many athletes in each race, placing near the front of the field would be difficult. Gabi L (6th) was the outstanding individual result of the day. Cooper C, Tyler L, Farishta A, Ava E and Archie P all had top 50 finishes. All students who attended, participated and gave their best and are to be commended. Making it to the State Cross Country event is no easy feat. Well done!
