3-4 Hill Kids2Farm Excursion

This week, 3-4 Hill travelled to Hagley Farm School to participate in a Kids2Farms excursion. We had an extremely busy and fun filled day. We learnt about the inner workings of a farm and completed activities including; moving and weighing calves using current technology, soil testing for crops, watching sheep shearing, a dairy presentation including cheese tasting, processing eggs for sale and butter making. We also learnt about some of the paddock to plate processes that happen at Hagley Farm School, which links to what we have been inquiring about in the classroom.
