Excursions
4H and 3H Excursion to Hollybank

On Thursday 9th May our classes will be travelling by bus to Hollybank. We will be learning more about the life cycles of plants. We will be identifying native plants and recognising environmental factors that affect life cycles and seed germination. This is part of our science inquiry unit which is called Plants in Action.
We will be leaving school promptly at 9:15am in the morning and returning back to school by 2:45pm. All children should wear their PE uniform and bring their hat, jumper and a coat as the Hollybank area can be a lot colder than the city.
We respectfully ask that children do not bring umbrellas as they can become a safety issue. Children will also need a packed recess, lunch and large drink.

Kinder Excursions
We are excited to be off on our first excursions to the PCYC and City Park. The purposes of our trip are to be involved in gross motor challenges and to observe seasonal changes in our environment. Kinder Leedham and Kinder Williams will be leaving school at approx. 9:20am on Friday May 17th and will be returning in the afternoon. (Please see your child's teacher if you require more specific times.) Kinder House will be leaving at 9.40am and returning after lunch on Tuesday May 14th. All children will need to wear their normal sports uniform, including sandshoes. Everyone will require a PACKED lunch and plenty to drink (Please note there will be NO lunch orders available on Friday May 17th for Kinder Leedham and Kinder Williams.) Warm coats and beanies are essential. Parent help is invited. Please see your child’s teacher as soon as possible if you are interested – you must have a current Working with Vulnerable People card.
Many thanks,
Melinda Williams, Bec Leedham and Lynette House
