Inquiry Based Learning
We believe strongly in an inquiry based approach to learning. One of the most natural forms of inquiry occurs through play. Babies begin simple forms of play from a very early age and we continue to play, in some form, throughout our life. Play can be imaginative, creative, structured, solitary or cooperative. When children play they are deeply involved in their learning. An inquiry based approach to learning involves children researching, collaborating, thinking and communicating - skills which are fostered through a rich play experience. Here are some photos of play and inquiry across our school throughout the year. We hope to provide some information sessions regarding our inquiry based approach and the importance of play throughout next year.
