From the Principal
Wow, what a busy two weeks we have had with our years 3-5 students involvement with the the annual Swimming & Water Safety program at Hagley! It's been wonderful to see how well the children (and staff) have coped with this alongside of still getting on with their learning before and after swimming. Well done to all involved!
The year is certianly flying by, and with this comes lots of excitement and some nervousness about what the new school year will bring. We are working hard to maintain a productive and orderly learning enviroment by continuing with the everyday regularity of learning programs and emotional regulation support. We greatly appreciate the continued support of our families supporting children to be organised, well rested and positive about school.
2021
We are now in a position to share the class structure for 2021. Class placements will go home with end of year reports on Friday December 12th.
The make up of classes is mainly determined by our numbers and our allocation of teaching staff.
Kindergarten A | Kindergarten B | Kindergarten C |
Prep A | Prep B | Prep-1 |
Gr 1 A | Gr 1-2 A | Gr 1-2 B |
Gr 2 A | Gr 2 B | |
Gr 3 A | Gr 3-4 A | Gr 3-4 B |
Gr 3-4 C | Gr 4-5 A | |
Gr 5-6 A | Gr 5-6 B | Gr 5-6 C |
Gr 5-6 D | Gr 5-6 E |
Hopefully I wil be able to share the allocated teacher for each class next newsletter... just a couple of small things to sort out first! And reminder that with several staff transferring we will be welcoming several new faces.
ROAD SAFETY
I'm sure by now that most of our school community are aware that the traffic situation for pick up at the lefthand side of the road closest to the roundabout has changed. This is no longer an area where cars can be parked (even if you are in the car). It is designed to keep pick up in this area flowing and therefore create continuous spaces. We are asking children to wait at the top end of the pick up and not near the carpark driveway as this is not safe. If you utilise this space, please keep moving to the top end as the cars in front of you move on. It will be very helpful if families can support students with this organisation.
We understand that pickup time for over 500 students can be frustrating, but it's important that all adults take some responsibility to keep our kids safe.
